RANIA AJAMI {Writer • Director • Producer}
Rania Ajami is an award-winning writer and film director based in New York and London. She is also the founder and director of Jumping Pages.
As a filmmaker, Rania has garnered awards for her feature Asylum Seekers, her documentary Shadows of a Leader: Qaddafi’s Female Bodyguards, and her short-film Katalog. She has been selected by Filmmaker Magazine as one of "25 New Faces of Indie Film," and has been written about in, among others, The New York Times, Anderson Cooper’s 360, C21 Media, Indiewire, and Variety.
As a mobile content producer for children, Rania and Jumping Pages have been recently praised on Appolicious, Wired, Women 2.0 and Kirkus where they have been cited for the visionary and cinematic approach which uses Rania’s lush filmmaking style in producing book applications focused on children’s content.
Rania is a graduate of Princeton University, and received her MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she held a Global Fellowship in the Performing Arts and a Film Program Fellowship.
